april is gone

I can't believe that April is almost over now.   Today it was just plain hot out.    I have been working on craft fair items.   I did a show last saturday and Have another one this coming sat.    Then get to take sunday of and go see my mom.  
That means unloading when show is done and getting ready for the rest of the weekend.   load and unload is going to happen a lot.....lol

Spring is here

the weather is warming up out side.   my tulips are blooming.   I did a craft fair last weekend and have two coming up in april.   it is fun to be working on something other than christmas items.   Still have a few ideas that are swimming around in my head to make now.   I will let it out when i can figure how to make it.   more to come on this at a later time.  I hope try making them soon.

craft fair are starting

I am starting craft fairs for the year.   The first one is this weekend.     Then I have 2 in the month of April so far. So have been busy getting some knitting and crocheting done for it.    I have the first baby afghan half finished for my order.   Daughter is so nice to me and takes orders for my work at least three or four times a year.   So I now also have to make four towels for a gal.    She comes to craft fairs and buys them and when she needs more she gets me the supplys to make them.  
  I have been playing around making some jewerly it has been fun and enjoying making the earrings.   I never thought that I would like to work with beads.  It has turned out to be fun.  But cuts into my knitting time.  
Have gotten 3 bags crochet and ready to go for the shows.  Now I need to go get some balloons so that i can display them on saturday.   I will put the balloons in the bags and they will hold them up and looks good on the tables.

baby afghans

I have started the afghan that i was ask to make.   It is going to be in white and pink.  I may even have enough to make two by the time the yarn is used up.   I did the first five or so rows in white then started the pink.   Will get pictures when i get some taken.
I also have been working on the tweety afghan.   Trying to get at least two rows a day.  
Will only take me two months to finish it if i do the two rows each day.

crocheting classes

This week will be week four of my crocheting class.   I started them all out on a simple dishcloth patterns. 
They all have finished at least one dishcloth and have move right along to other projects.   I got one that started on an afghan and another one made fingerless gloves.   they all have caught on right away  It is fun to watch as they catch it and move on to bigger projects.

I know this not a good picture of the sweater but had it on.   It fits and feels good to have one done.   I got a special order for a baby afghan so guess the cph and the tweety afghan are both back on hold till i get this order done.

Central park hoodie sweater process

I almost have the fronts of the cph done.   got about two more inches to knit. Both fronts are knitting on the same knitting needles that way they come out even and are the same length.   I will also cast on and knit both sleeves the same way.   That way both of my arms are the same length and not short and long...lol
I am hoping to get this done before winter is done but if not will work on it during the summer.   It is a good project for summer as it don't cover my lap like an afghan would. 

Sweater progress

the sleeves are done and as you can see have one side shoulder sew and the neck ribbing is done so all that is left to do is sewing the seams up and wear it.

I hold my knitting together so i can sew the seem...they are the old fashion curl pins.   They work great to hold it together as you sew it together.

Crochet class

Tuesday was the first night at the crochet class that i am teaching at the college.   I have seven students and they all picked it up really good.   At least two of them are fellow knitters.  So I am get a few knitting helps in also.
   I have to get ready for next weeks class we will be doing dc in class. 
   I will be finishing the sleeves to my sweater this weekend so maybe won't be to much longer with the rest of the knitting of this sweater and be able to wear it befor spring hits.

Sweater sleaves

Here are the sleaves of the sweater that i am knitting with two different sizes.  I have got about 10 more rows then I will be able to sew the sweater together and do the neck ribbing.  almost got this one done.   I don't know if i will be getting them done this week because i will be starting to teaching Crocheting at the local college here so will need to get the project for the class done today and tomorrow.   So have to put the knitting needles down and pick up a crochet hook.

I just about have the sleeves done on the one sweater.   This one is a fun one to knit as I am knitting with a size 6 and a size 13 knitting needles it does make it go fast.  

my time flys

I don't know where my weeks go.  I sat down to knit last night and had a cat in my lap so I just petted Suzanne.    She is a spoiled cat.

Afghan process

here is  the afghan that i am crocheting.  it is going to be tweety.   I am making this for my future grandbaby.    It is going to be awhile but found this pattern and wanted to make it for my daughter as she collects tweety.

knitting process

I have been having a hard time getting to my knitting.  we have to change that tomorrow and i will be taking pictures of my CPHoodie  to show the process.   I will needing some relaxing time so that will be helping.
